Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the ProSay platform operated by Prosay, LLC (“ProSay,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using ProSay, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and pay particular attention to the unauthorized practice of law disclaimer in Section 3.

Important disclaimer

ProSay is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using ProSay does not create an attorney-client relationship. The documents prepared through ProSay are based solely on the information you provide. If you have questions about whether ProSay is appropriate for your legal matter, consult a licensed Connecticut attorney before proceeding.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using ProSay in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting a notice on the website. Continued use after notice of a change constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of service

ProSay is a guided document preparation platform that helps Connecticut residents prepare court forms for housing and family law matters. The service works by asking you structured questions about your legal situation and using your answers to populate standardized court form templates.

ProSay produces completed documents that you must review, sign, and file yourself. ProSay does not file documents on your behalf and does not appear in court on your behalf.

3. Not legal advice: UPL disclaimer

ProSay is not a law firm. ProSay does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using ProSay.

While ProSay was designed by a licensed Connecticut attorney and form templates are reviewed by a licensed Connecticut attorney, the service itself does not constitute the practice of law. The questions, instructions, and documents provided by ProSay are general legal information, not advice tailored to your specific legal situation.

ProSay prepares court documents for both contested and uncontested matters. Whatever your situation, ProSay prepares documents from the information and decisions you provide. It does not add facts you did not supply, evaluate your case, recommend a course of action, or tell you what to ask for.

The more that is at stake in your matter, the more you should consider consulting a licensed Connecticut attorney, whether to handle the matter for you or to review documents you prepare with ProSay before you file them. The Connecticut Bar Association lawyer referral service can be reached at (860) 223-4400.

13. Dispute resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at privacy@prosay.io and allow 30 days for us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against ProSay.

Nothing in this section prevents you from seeking emergency injunctive relief or filing a small claims court action.

14. Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting a notice on the website at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using the service before the effective date.
